Working Principles
The flotation machine separates minerals based on differences in their surface hydrophobicity. The impeller rotates to generate centrifugal force, which draws in air and forms fine bubbles. Hydrophobic mineral particles attach to the bubbles and rise to the pulp surface to form a froth layer, which is scraped off by the foam scraper to become concentrate. Hydrophilic gangue particles remain in the pulp and are discharged as tailings.
